During Citizen Science Day, we asked our community of citizen scientists to tell their stories and experiences in words and pictures. Here, we’ve summarized many of the amazing stories we’ve heard. unnamed-1Citizen scientists and birdwatchers even helped to save the habitat of Great Horned Owls in Sonoma County from tree-trimming. Tom Rusert from Sonoma Birding summed it up well: “Citizen Science at work!  If we don’t do it who will?  Birding and birders can make a difference.”
