Maine Owl Monitoring Program

The Maine Owl Monitoring Program is a citizen science project investigating the effects of different survey protocols on owl detections.

The program aims to document the distribution and abundance of Maine’s owls, including both common and rare species; examine habitat, weather, and other variables that may relate to owl distribution and abundance; and engage citizen scientists in a unique research opportunity.
