Member since 04/28/2017Shelly became passionate about Bluebirds and other Wisconsin Songbirds in 2007 by creating a scout project in order to help local troops learn about nature and technology. The project has fledged into a Nonprofit today called Bluebird Experience. The Nonprofit is based around citizen science, education, faith, and is headquartered in Eau Claire, WI. Shelly and her Bluebird Experience team have successfully established and inspired monitoring for eight Bluebird Trails consisting of 132 Nest Boxes spread across Wisconsin’s golf courses, schools, neighborhoods, and Corporate Campuses. These trails have been monitored and managed through creative collaboration with Boy Scouts of America, multiple universities, and organizations across the US. Partnering with Sparrow Swap has added a new element of collaboration and credibility into the Bluebird Experience.
