We start this year’s field season with a celebration and another kick off event. We look forward to partnering with volunteers again this year to conserve and monitor the natural resources of northern Michigan. Please join us on April 23rd 2016 to learn more about the EcoStewards program and how to become a citizen scientist. The event will begin with a strolling poster reception to view entries in our high school student poster contest, and will include an opportunity to learn more about how to volunteer for many different citizen science projects. Guest speaker David Mifsud is a certified professional wetland scientist, is also an authority in Michigan on conservation and management of amphibians and reptiles. We invite you to join us after his presentation for a light lunch and a vernal pool field trip.
