Earth Force / River Legacy

Main Project Information
Presented By Earth Force
Goal Supporting young people in solving tough environmental problems
Task Environmental investigations lead to action.
Where Global, anywhere on the planet

Earth Force engages young people as active citizens who improve the environment and their communities now and in the future. Through Earth Force and our network of diverse partners, young people get hands-on, real-world opportunities to practice civic skills, acquire a deep understanding of the environment, and develop the skills, knowledge, and motivation to become lifelong leaders in addressing community issues.

We are the parent organization to Colorado River Watch, where voluntary stewards monitor water quality and other indicators of watershed health over an extended period of time. They then use this high quality data to educate citizens and inform decision makers about the condition of Colorado’s waters.

How to Join

Earth Force is a school-based program in 53 communities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Colorado River Watch operates in 88 communities throughout Colorado.
