Macquarie University has a partnership together with North Sydney Council to understand the socio-ecological impact of transforming the coal loader platform into a multifunctional green space and living lab showcase. This ALA project is dedicated to monitoring the impact the green roof development will have for wildlife in the area, through accumulation and analysis of citizen science records. To understand the changes the green roof has to wildlife will require collating all records on the site to get a general picture of the biodiversity before and after the green roof is built. The aim is to allow for ongoing monitoring and discovery of wildlife within North Sydney Council, particularly surrounding the new green roof site.
