NYBG coordinates many citizen science programs or scientific research programs conducted by the general public. To showcase the work of NYBG scientists, staff, and volunteers, National Citizen Science Day will provide opportunities for visitors to explore and participate in a wide range of activities, from observing plants leafing out or flowering, bird watching, and identifying plants, to transcribing botanists’ collection records and herbarium labels.
