The Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, working with many partner organizations, has established Mitten Crab Watch as a public reporting and information network to track the distribution, abundance, and status of this invasive species for the US Atlantic and Gulf coasts.

Visit http://mittencrab.nisbase.org/ to learn how to identify, locate and report mitten crab sightings.
Please provide date, specific location, and size information and a close-up photograph or specimen if possible.
None needed, however, these crabs are often found in crab-pots and along stream banks.
