Echo Meter Touch is an innovative combination of hardware and software that lets you record and listen to bat calls in real-time – on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. Built-in Kaleidoscope classifiers suggest the top bat species match in real-time. Data is displayed real-time via information-rich, highly configurable, full-color spectrograms. GPS enabled devices tag each recording with exact location. Recordings can easily be transferred to any computer for further analysis and reporting.
This tool is recommended for lending libraries.

(Students simply plug the Echo Meter Touch module into the compatible iOS device (iPhone, iPod, iPad) via the lightning connector port and select "start" on the screen. From there, students will see bat echolocations on the screen if there are bats flying in the sky. If the user chooses to record, the app will identify bat species and keep the recordings in the app for analysis. The recorded files can be shared to other users or uploaded to a computer for analysis and reporting.)
